Educator • Ministry Leader • Mentor
Elena L. Caperig is an experienced educator, ministry leader, and mentor committed to strengthening Christian formation and leadership development. She came to know the Lord at a young age and began serving in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines (CAMACOP) as a youth leader. During her college years at Ateneo de Davao University, she continued her ministry involvement as a student staff member with Campus Crusade for Christ—experiences that shaped her lifelong calling to discipleship and teaching.
Elena holds advanced degrees in Christian Education, English, and Communication, including a Doctor of Education from the Asia Graduate School of Theology. She currently serves as the Facilitator and Champion of Discipleship Essentials Philippines, a partnership of TWR Canada and CAMACOP, and as President of Davao Alliance College, Inc.
A significant milestone in her leadership journey was her participation in the Leadership Matters Course (LMC) in 2013. Since then, she has served as an LMC trainer and facilitator throughout the Philippines, helping leaders grow in competence, character, and spiritual maturity.
Mentoring remains central to her work. Elena invests intentionally in young women—both formally and informally—driven by her belief that teaching is a powerful way to shape the future.
She lives in Davao City with her husband, Dr. Rev. Joel A. Caperig, and enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with their growing family, which now includes six grand children.
Elena joined ITA as the Follow Up Coordinator on 1 December 2025.
